Disney x Swarovski - Selfridges Cornershop

Retail window display fabrication and store installations, London

Rule One designs, builds and installs retail window displays, shop-in-shops and in-store installations from its workshop at 22 Rigg Approach in East London. We work directly for retailers and brands, and alongside their creative agencies, from the first drawings to the overnight install.

Our retail work includes seven schemes for Liberty, Christmas windows for Fenwick's Newcastle flagship two years running, and a run of Corner Shop takeovers at Selfridges for Golden Goose, Valentino, Casablanca, Disney x Swarovski and Formula 1. We also roll schemes out at scale: eight Fenwick stores across the UK in four days, and rollouts for UGG, Ralph Lauren and Aesop across Europe and Asia.

What we build

Seasonal and Christmas windows

Full window schemes, from the concept to the reveal, like Fenwick's Christmas windows in Newcastle.

Shop-in-shops and takeovers

Complete branded spaces inside department stores, such as the Golden Goose and F1 takeovers of The Corner Shop at Selfridges.

Product walls and rollouts

The same fixture built and installed consistently across many stores, as with UGG's product walls from Istanbul to London.

Sculptural window pieces

Oversized, tactile forms that stop people in the street, like the yarn-wrapped sculptures for Axel Arigato's Eris launch.

Display joinery and lighting

Cabinetry, shelving and feature walls in solid timber with integrated lighting and hand-finished details.

Interactive displays

Displays that move, such as the sushi-style conveyor we engineered for KIKO Milano.

How it works

  1. Brief and development

Send a concept, a set of drawings or a rough idea. We develop it into something buildable, with materials, finishes and a programme that works back from your install date.

  2. Workshop build

Everything is fabricated and finished in our own East London workshop, so materials, finish and timing stay under one roof.

  3. Delivery and installation

Our crews deliver and install, out of hours when the store is trading, in London, around the UK and across Europe. Transport runs through our sister company, Super Logistics.

Questions we're asked

Do you design windows or just build them?

Both. We designed and developed Fenwick's Christmas windows, collaborated on the design of F1's Corner Shop takeover, and build to brand and agency designs as well.

Can you install in a store that's open?

Yes. We built the Selfridges and Rough Trade record shop inside a live, trading department store, and installed UGG product walls in simultaneous overnight installs across several stores.

Can you roll a display out across many stores?

Yes. For Fenwick's spring 2026 scheme we delivered eight UK stores in four days. We've installed UGG product walls in simultaneous overnight installs across the UK and Europe, and delivered rollouts for Ralph Lauren in four European locations and for Aesop across Japan, Asia and Europe.

Do you work outside London?

Yes. We've delivered windows in Newcastle for Fenwick and product walls for UGG in Istanbul, Athens, Paris, Munich and Milan.

How far ahead should we brief you?

As early as you can. Christmas schemes are usually developed months before the reveal; smaller windows and product walls can move faster. Put your install date in the brief and we'll tell you straight away whether it works.

What does a window display cost?

It depends on the size, the materials and how many stores it goes into. Give us a budget range with your brief and we'll tell you what it buys, or how to get the most out of it.
